Anzac Day Animal Fun

This Anzac Day, we decided to head out to a nearby Nature Centre, complete with a barnyard petting zoo. As you can see, the pigs were a definite hit with Liv, although she enjoyed getting up close to the birds, and watching the 'roos' bounce around.

Checking out a cockatoo
The wallabies got fairly close to us...

...although the kangas were a little more shy, preferring the far side of the enclosure.

This wild animal, not native to Australia, was a lot less exciting for Livia.

Them big wheels keep on turnin'

Liv's finally starting to get the hang of using her feet for something other than chewing.

Turning though, has not yet been mastered

For a first attempt at standing unaided, not too shab

Blowin' in the wind

  • Age: 17 months
  • Weight: 10.0kg (22 lbs 1 oz), pretty much on the dot
  • Average hours of sleep: 11 1/2 at night, a single 2 hour nap at lunchtime
  • Latest tricks: more words (pretty) more signing (more), standing up for about 10 seconds, cruising, walking with her toddle truck unaided
On our very first Australian beach experience, we were blown away. Almost literally, that is, as you can see and hear below.

A first attempt to bury Dad in the sand

Why are we here?

The wind reveals Dad's toned abs (and soon to be hunch-back from all the walking practise)
A taste of sand does not impress...
...but these sure do!
